Vingroup Unveils $14.3 Billion Nam Do Son Mega-Port Project

Vingroup launches a 4,400-hectare port and logistics complex at Nam Do Son, Hai Phong, with a total investment of $14.3 billion, targeted for completion by 2040.

Vingroup has officially announced plans to develop the largest port and logistics complex ever in the Nam Do Son area of Hai Phong. The project spans 4,400 hectares, with the port zone covering 1,134 hectares featuring 21 berths and 42 piers.

Upon completion, the complex will accommodate vessels up to 200,000 tons, meeting the growing cargo transport demands of northern Vietnam.

The project is implemented in three phases: Phase 1 (2026–2030) at $1.11 billion; Phase 2 (2031–2035) at $7.88 billion; and Phase 3 (2036–2040) at $5.29 billion. Vingroup self-funds 15% of total capital, with the remainder from external sources.

This mega-project reflects Vietnam's ambition to become a leading regional logistics hub, directly connecting international shipping routes with the domestic expressway and railway systems.
