Port Service Prices Adjusted Up ~10% from February 2026

From February 1, 2026, container loading and unloading service prices at Lach Huyen and Cai Mep - Thi Vai port clusters increase ~10%, reflecting infrastructure investment costs.

From February 1, 2026, container loading and unloading service tariffs at two key deep-water port clusters — Lach Huyen (Hai Phong) and Cai Mep - Thi Vai (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) — are adjusted upward by approximately 10% under new regulations.

The price adjustment reflects the growing infrastructure and equipment investment costs while creating sustainable financial resources for port operators to reinvest in service capacity upgrades.

Vietnam's port industry is shifting from capacity expansion growth to asset efficiency optimization. Higher service prices improve profit margins and narrow the gap with regional port pricing levels.

Vietnam's seaport economy is projected at $52 billion in 2025, surging to $72 billion by 2030, corresponding to an average annual growth rate of 6.6%.
